Questions
Before you ask
When can I play it?
The first chance to play is expected in summer 2027, in a test on PC and Android for people on the waiting list. Join it to be invited, or follow @matchnightgame on Instagram to hear first.
Which platforms?
PC on Steam and Android first, with iOS and consoles after that.
Any ads or things to buy inside?
None. Matchnight has no ads and nothing to buy inside the game: no coins, no packs, no paid boosts. You buy it once.
Are the clubs and players real?
No. Every club is set in a real English town, but its name, players, ground and crest are invented. Nothing is licensed.
Is it made with AI?
Yes, and we say so openly: the code, art and text are made with Claude, most of the sound and music with ElevenLabs, the pictures of the big moments and the Story Mode poster with Canva's AI, and the Matchnight Theme and the soundtrack's songs with Suno. No AI runs inside the game. More under How it's made.
Are the soundtrack's bands real?
No. The three bands were invented for Matchnight, like its clubs and players, and Kevin made their songs with Suno, an AI music tool. You can hear a clip from each on the soundtrack page.
Waiting list
Want to play early?
Matchnight is still being built. Join the waiting list to play it early: we invite a few players at a time to try new versions and tell us what they think.
